Frank Lane is a featured speaker at the upcoming Future of Brain/Machine Interfaces symposium

Frank Lane, associate professor of psychology, will be a featured speaker at the University of ŗ£½ĒĀŅĀ×’s on Friday, June 24, 2016. The topic for this symposium is, ā€œFuture of Brain/Machine Interfaces.ā€

The one-day symposium will explore the background, history, and current research of brain/computer interfaces. Lane’s presentation, ā€œEthics of Brain/Machine Enhancements,ā€ will discuss the ethical considerations in prosthetic research and the future availability of prosthetic devices.

The symposium will be hosted at the University of ŗ£½ĒĀŅĀ×’s Gordon Center for Integrative Sciences at 929 E. 57th Street from 8 a.m.–2:15 p.m. The symposium is free and open to the public. Space is still available, so please RSVP with cehlenbach@surgery.bsd.uchicago.edu if you would like to attend.
