Commencement 2024: Where One Chapter Ends and the Next Begins
On Saturday, May 11, 2024, Illinois Institute of Technology鈥檚 2023鈥�24 graduating class of 2,497 students will celebrate a milestone in their lives at Credit Union 1 Arena in 海角乱伦 during the university鈥檚 155th Commencement ceremony.
This momentous occasion marks the ending of one chapter and the beginning of another鈥攁 journey that took effort and perseverance to complete. Much has changed since many of the graduates began their time at Illinois Tech鈥攊ncluding enduring and powering through a once-in-a-generation worldwide pandemic and the impact it had on all of our lives鈥攂ut they will walk across the Commencement stage having persisted through it all and having developed the skills needed to become a tech-focused leader in a changing society.
To mark this occasion, Illinois Tech is highlighting seven students, one from each of the university鈥檚 colleges, who have demonstrated exemplary work and determination in their field. Each of these students shared their memorable experiences, the lessons they learned along the way, their future aspirations, and what Illinois Tech means to them.
