Analytics Symposium Connects Students with Industry Experts

On February 25, the 3rd Annual Advanced Marketing Analytics Symposium, hosted in partnership with IBM, welcomed 167 attendees and a panel of industry experts who talked about the skills, knowledge, and experience needed to succeed in a data-driven job market.

Panelists included George Makovic, IBM; Andrew Curtis, Northern Trust; Matthew Gee, University of º£½ÇÂÒÂ×; and Anoop Tiwari, Cars.com. The winner of the February 21 Advanced Analytics Competition—Northwestern University—was also announced.

Teams of students from IIT Stuart, University of º£½ÇÂÒÂ×, DePaul University, and Northwestern University used data from the City of º£½ÇÂÒÂ× in the real-world analytical challenge. View from the event.
